Foto scattate nella Marina di Casalabate, oggi parte dei comuni di Trepuzzi, Campi e Squinzano (LE). Qui si narra l’abusivismo edilizio dagli anni’80, la mancanza di una rete fognaria in una zona fortemente pregna di dissoluzioni carsiche o sinkhole. Un ricordo nostalgico delle “rotonde sul mare” o dei “camerini”, che oggi appaiono come fantasmi di un tempo che fu. Delle tre rotonde dedicate ai tre paesi, l’unica rimessa in piedi è quella di Trepuzzi.

Photos taken in the Casalabate seaside, now part of the municipalities of Trepuzzi, Campi and Squinzano (Lecce, Italy). Here we can tell the story of illegal building since the 1980s, the lack of a sewerage system in an area heavily filled with karst dissolutions or sinkholes. A nostalgic reminder of the “roundabouts on the sea” or “dressing rooms”, which today appear as ghosts of a time gone by. Of the three roundabouts dedicated to the three villages, the only put back on their feet is that of Trepuzzi (photo in the middle of patchwork).
